On An Average Day You Will:
(includes, but not limited to)
- Lead and supervise day-to-day reimbursement and billing operations to support revenue cycle performance and organizational goals
- Provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance management for reimbursement team members
- Monitor accounts receivable, billing metrics, and reimbursement performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for billing, reimbursement, coding, and claims processing activities
- Review and improve billing processes, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Manage escalated billing, claims, payment, and customer service issues
- Prepare, analyze, and present billing, accounts receivable, and reimbursement reports for leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, and company billing requirements
- Audit billing and collection activities to support operational effectiveness and revenue optimization
- Partner with operational and clinical teams to improve communication, collaboration, and reimbursement outcomes
- Coordinate and deliver training related to billing processes, systems, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor payer contracts, reimbursement trends, and payment issues, recommending updates as needed
- Support revenue cycle initiatives, reporting, and process improvement projects
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What You'll Bring to The Team: [UPDATE REQUIREMENT BASED ON STATE REGS]
- Three (3) years of experience in home health, hospice, or healthcare billing
- Two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), healthcare billing systems, and collections processes
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing, reimbursement, and accounts receivable management
- Ability to interpret insurance contracts and reimbursement guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
- Experience training, coaching, and developing team members
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of healthcare billing platforms and payer systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
